When we created FEZ, we wanted to usher cannabis into the modern era and design a device that resembled the types of gadgets you use everyday-sleek, stylish, and easy to use. We wanted a gimmick-free product elegantly designed to provide quality vaporization every time -we know you do, too.

At FEZ we love cannabis. Cannabinoids specifically. Like THC, for example, the primary psychoactive cannabinoid responsible for the wonderful elated feeling weed provides. And CBD or Cannabidiol (pronounced Canna-beh-diol), which acts more like a muscle relaxer. On its own, CBD doesn’t have any psychoactive properties, but in conjunction with other cannabinoids, it produces synergistic effects, including the great, warming body-buzz we all love. There are other cannabinoids, too, like Cannabigerol (CBG) and Cannabichromene (CBC). CBG helps enhance the effects of other cannabinoids while CBC can help mitigate anxiety during consumption. Sweet, sweet cannabis -there’s so much to this wonderful plant.

All of these cannabinoids and approximately 120 additional terpenes, which are actuallyjust minor cannabinoids--essentially the fragrance producing essential oils of thecannabis plant--all combine to produce wide-ranging effects among strains. This isknown as the “entourage effect”. These effects can vary between harvests by differentgrowers of similar strains. This is because each individual plant and bud take up varyingamounts of nutrients, light and oxygen during growth, producing a unique and variedassortment of cannabinoids. The result is a marketplace filled with an incrediblediversity of varying flavors, aromas and effects for us to enjoy.During growth and curing, minor and primary cannabinoids all congregate into thebeautiful, glistening trichomes we’ve cometo love covering our buds. These sticky resinglands are where the magic happens-and yet resin is highly volatile; cannabinoids losetheir effectiveness when exposed to extreme temperatures.

While vaporization tops out at roughly 400 degrees, a jointcan burn at 2,000 degrees, turning the best properties of cannabis into dirty smoke. This smoke can contain over85% of unrecognizable non-cannabinoid and terpene components. On the other hand, research has found that the gentle heat used in vaporizationcreates plumes containing95% unadulterated cannabinoid and terpene content
